Patrick Regan is the director of XLP ministries just outside London England. He began his ministry journey in 1996 as a teenager, when a stabbing occurred in a nearby school. Patrick was a church youth worker and the school’s headmaster asked if Patrick could help his school.
What began as 1 school being ministered to, now has become 60, all across England. XLP is a ministry that’s “a Christian charity that has an emphasis on being faith-based, but not faith-biased: XLP works equally with young people of all faiths and none.“
Patrick begins his story working with the homeless and the homeless man sharing his hamburger with him. He shares why it’s important to work “with others” and not “treat them like missional projects”.
Patrick continues to minister to youth. He has written 3 books, his latest is No Ceiling to Hope: Stories of Grace and From the World’s Most Dangerous Places. He also serves on the advisory board of The Centre for Social Justice and is a UK ambassador for Compassion. a Christian charity that has an emphasis on being faith-based, but not faith-biased: XLP works equally with young people of all faiths and none.
