The Ken Winton Interview

Ken Winton is a husband, father, speaker, writer author and former pastor who founded Living Lighter Today. He travels around the world speaking on how to live lighter by truly embracing Christ’s lighter yoke.

He also teaches how to live a life out from the burden of debt. Ken lives with his wife in Northern California where he spends time with his children and 5 grandchildren.

You could say many things about Bob Kilpatrick. He’s been in ministry for over 40 years. He’s a husband, father, grand father, musician, producer, pastor, church planter, writer, and published author. He’s traveled the world and played his guitar in front one and in front many thousands.

He’s written many songs, including “Lord Be Glorified” that’s been translated in to many languages. His song “Bring Them Home” was sung at Mother Teresa’s funeral service in Calcutta, India.

But most of all, I call him a great friend.

Here’s what Bob says about his ministry “My desire is to serve the Church in any way that God allows. This was not a career choice for me, it was, and is, a calling. I am a servant. With God’s grace, that’s what I’ll always be.”

Tray and Melody Story’s story is one of scandalous grace. After Tray’s 30 year struggle with pornography and a failed marriage to Melody. God redeemed their marriage after a six year separation.

Now they run 2 ministries Route 1520, and Undone Redone. Route 1520 is a ministry to help those struggling with sexual addiction and pornography. Route 1520 has resources for individuals and churches to help those to recovery through the bonds of community.

He is an accomplished writer who not only has written many books, but has written for many publications including Leadership Journal, Christianity Today (He’s a Contributing Editor), ChristianWeek, Focus on the Family magazine, In Touch magazine, Faith Today.

Here’s what he says about writing. “I write because I can’t help it. It’s something viral. The need to write woke up in me when I was 12, and grew into something fierce and wild and holy. All my books have come from this. They are things birthed as much as created.”
